Privacy Information

How will my responses be used?

The text and data you submit will aid the scriptwriting process for at least one future YouTube video about the Hyper 1 Hour Game Jam and/or Game-like Jam. Your responses are completely anonymous unless 1) the survey asks if you'd like to participate in an interview and 2) you agree to participate in that interview or 3) you incidentally disclose personal information in any of your responses. If you do agree to participate in an interview, you'll be asked for your email address.

What other information will you track about me?

The only information collected (besides what you provide in your responses) is an IP address associated with your browsing session. Your email address, and/or IP address, and/or any other identifying information incidentally included in your responses will not be disclosed to anyone other than the video editor(s) compiling each submission.

How long will the information you collect be stored?

Your IP address will be removed from any storage or server within 30 days of your submission. Any responses you submit will be stored as long as necessary to complete the YouTube video(s) associated with the survey. If the video(s) are not complete after a period of 6 months, the data will be anonymized in accordance with GDPR standards, meaning it can no longer be linked to you.

What are my rights under GDPR?

Under GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, or restrict the processing of your data. You also have the right to request the removal of your information or responses. To exercise these rights, please contact us using the Contact Page. If your data has been anonymized, it will only be removed after the necessary video(s) have been released. If the video has already been released, please note that the YouTube video(s) will not be updated to reflect your removal.

Third-Party Services

We use third-party services, such as Netlify, to process and store your data. These services are compliant with GDPR and other applicable data protection laws. Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside the EU/EEA. We ensure that such transfers comply with GDPR and that adequate safeguards are in place.
